The strategies that got you to a senior seat — availability, excellence, endurance — are not the strategies that will keep you there well.
At this stage, mastery looks like selection: fewer initiatives, deeper ownership, clearer boundaries around what you will and will not carry.
Ask yourself what you would remove from your role if removing it had no consequence to your reputation. The answer is usually the thing costing you the most and returning the least.
